Heat Pump & HRV / DVS Servicing Opt-in
Regular heat pump servicing keeps your unit running efficiently, safely and reliably. Over time filters and coils collect dust, mould and grime, which restricts airflow, pushes up power bills and can affect the air your tenants breathe. An annual service clears that build-up, catches small faults before they become expensive repairs and is often a condition of the manufacturer's warranty — skip it and you risk having a claim declined. It also helps your heat pump deliver the warmth your property needs to stay compliant and comfortable through winter, while extending the life of a significant investment in your property.
The same applies to HRV, DVS and other positive-pressure ventilation systems: filters should be replaced and the unit serviced every 12 months. These systems draw air from the roof cavity, filter it and push it through the home to displace damp, stale air — so the filter is doing all the heavy lifting. Over a year it fills with dust, pollen, insects and roof-cavity debris. Once it clogs, airflow drops away, the fan works harder for less result and the moisture control you're paying for quietly stops doing its job. Tenants notice it first as condensation on the windows, a musty smell or mould creeping back into bedrooms and wardrobes — and that's usually when the maintenance requests start arriving.
An annual filter change and service keeps airflow where it should be, protects the motor, keeps the ducting clear and maintains your warranty cover. It's a modest yearly cost measured against the alternative: a damp home, uncomfortable tenants and mould remediation that lands back on you as a repair bill.
